FD HIKING BASE OF THE TORRES DEL PAINE

This excursion to the Torres Del Paine Base is the most popular of all the activities performed in the National Park through well-signalized trails with slopes that raise the difficulty level from medium to high. The huge and splendid granite towers sculptured by the colossal strength of nature forces show their overwhelming beauty.
We start the hike crossing the Rio Ascencio and then continue up through slopes to reach their mid-height (700 meters) and see the Refugio Chileno, the first resting stop. Then we walk up a slope for more than one hour across sandy ground and reach the Refugio Chileno. Afterwards, bordering the Ascencio River we hike for approximately 90 minutes and reach the moraine glacier. Later on the ascent to the lookout to the Torres, we hike another our. Arriving at the foot of the Tres Torres, we can see Laguna Verde that sprouts from the melting of the Ventisquero Torres. After marveling at this spectacle, the descent begins and arrives at our starting point (Hotel).

FD HIKING TO THE GREY GLACIER BASE

The trekking to the Base of the Grey Glacier is an opportunity to get closer to the most important ice tongue creeping downward the South Patagonian Ice Field. Its irregular and uneven trail, in spite of being clearly signalized, causes this trekking excursion to be rated as of medium difficulty. The hiking starts at the Pehoé Refugio (hostel) which we reach by crossing Lago Pehoé with the catamaran from Pudeto Sector. The trail is well marked and leads off in a northwesterly direction along rocky terrain surrounded by bushes and some Notros trees hose beautiful red flower is he symbol of Magellan Region.

FD HIKING TO GLACIER VALLE DEL FRANCES

Trekking to the Glacier Valle del Frances leads our guests through a trail surrounding the highest point of the National Park, the Paine Grande with its 3.050m high, and then to the Italian Camping Area and from here the trail follows to the British Camping Site which is surrounded by the most impressive mountains of the Paine Range. The route up the Francés Valley begins at he Italian Campsite, from where the trail heads north, bordering the River El Francés along its eastern shore. After leaving the forest, the trail ascends gradually through rocky terrain with stones marking the way in orange color. After 30 minutes approximately, we can see Lake Nordenskjöld behind at which point we come across a deep gorge with a strong torrent of water flowing at the bottom. We continue ascending through a very stony area from where it is possible to view the immensity of Francés Glacier and Paine Grande Mountain on the left. Return to Hotel.

FD HIKING  PINGO WATERFALLS

This excursion to the Pingo Cascade offers our passengers the opportunity of interacting with a magnificent surrounding wilderness untouched , a natural habitat of the Huemul and the Puma, both species in danger of extinction that are now being protected by law.
We start our hike at Hostería Lago Grey at the end of the dirt track. We enter flat terrain and open landscape close to the River Pingo and its flora such as Ñirres, (Nothofagus Antarctica), calafates (Berberis Darwinii) and Notros. After 0 minutes walking Lengas (Nothofagus Pumilio) and Coigües (Nothofagus Betuloide). Our trail moves away from the river and we mavel the immensity of Mount Paine Grande  (3.050 m.), After 35 to 40 minutes we reach the Pingo Refugio. A few minutes later, the river Pingo comes into view again . About 50 minutes after our start of the trek, we cross a small creek. A good place to rest.  After 2.40 hs we will arrive at a viewpoint. We see the Paine Grande and River Pingo running along the floor of the valley. I we are lucky, we will see one or some of the Huemules liveng in the area (Hippocamelus Bisulcus) After another 20 min we arrive at our final destination; the Pingo Waterfall. From the viewpoint we will appreciate the noisy and imposing waterfall. We return to the hotel. 
The abundant and generous vegetation existing around the trail allows this excursion to be performed without reverse, even if weather conditions are unfavorable.

FD HIKING  LAGUNA VERDE – ESTANCIA LAZO

The starting point for this excursion is the main road in the Park, where the Weber Bridge crosses over the Río Paine, amidst generous vegetation.  When we reach a certain height  we will able to get a privileged site from which our eyes and spirits will enjoy the tremendous view of the Cuernos del Paine, the Mount Almirante Nieto and the Paine Grande, just to mention some of the most beautiful mountains silhouetted against a blue sky.

HD HIKING PENINSULA DEL LAGO GREY

 ECO – HIK – 25

Trekking excursion of low difficulty, except with very adverse wind conditions. This program can be performed whether in the morning or in the afternoon. It gives the visitors the opportunity to see at only a few meters away enormous icebergs of 12.000 years of age with a stupefying beauty that have detached from the Grey Glacier and fallen in with the lake to sail along its 18 km driven by the wind as far as the natural barrier imposed by the Peninsula where they finally will get melted.

HD HIKING – MIRADOR NORDENSKJÖLD

This excursion is rated as a simple hike and can be made by any person, regardless age.
Hiking goes round the Eastern bank of the Lago Nordenskjold old as far as a Natural Look-out Point just in front of the Paine Grande and the Cuerno Principal.
