You will enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Nalcas-Malalcahuello Natural Reserve filled with thousand year old Araucaria forests (monkey puzzle trees) covered in snow at this time of the year. DAY 2: LONQUIMAY VOLCANO
Today is our first full day to ski and to enjoy the excellent slopes and unmatched snow conditions of the ski center. Corralco Mountain Center offers 500 acres of uncrowded ski runs for all levels of ski and snowboard lovers. This mountain resort has one draglift for the beginner runs and one double chairlift for medium and advanced skiers, more than enough to enjoy this beautiful terrain. Once you reach the end of the chairlift you’ll have seven runs to choose from as well as a vast 2,470 acres ski domain to go off-piste through valleys and gullies. The panoramic views from above overlook the peaks of Sierra Nevada (2554 m.o.s.l. / 8.379 feet) and the Llaima volcano, and other more distant landmarks such as the Lanín volcano (3.710 m.o.s.l. / 12.172 feet) to the south. Return to the mountain village. Dinner and lodging at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 3: LONQUIMAY VOLCANO – MALALCAHUELLO HOT SPRINGS
Early in the morning and if the weather conditions are favorable, we’ll try to ascend the Lonquimay volcano (2.865 m.o.s.l. / 9.400 feet)  and reach its massive crater. We will take the chairlift as far as it goes and from there begin the tough hike to the top (4 hours). Upon reaching the top we’ll take in the magnificent view and then begin skiing off-piste to the bottom of the slopes. This activity is only for those people in strong physical condition and an advanced level of skiing. In the afternoon we’ll visit the Malalcahuello Hot Springs, the most modern of the region to relax and enjoy the soothing baths. The resort has a fully equipped large indoor thermal pool, and two small pools at different temperatures (one very cold and one very hot). The Spa offers massages and beauty therapy services for an additional cost.  For those more interested in revelry and merry making, there is a restaurant and bar. Later we’ll enjoy a Folk Music Show at the local School and then we’ll share a typical dinner at a local family house. Lodging at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 4: LONQUIMAY VOLCANO - LLAIMA VOLCANO
After breakfast, we leave Malalcahuello and head to the Llaima Volcano, the most active volcano in Chile (3.125mts). At about noon we’ll be arriving at the Araucarias Ski Center, where we’ll have lunch. Later, we’ll get ready for skiing. This quaint and uncrowded ski center surrounded by araucaria forests has two draglifts and one double chairlift. There are nine runs available to choose from according to your skiing level. Like most of the southern ski centers, you’ll be astonished by the view to other volcanoes, in this case Lonquimay and Villarrica. Dinner and accommodation at the Ski Center lodge called Refugio Pehuén. Tonight in the bar, the group will have the opportunity to sing Sinatra and the Beatles karaoke style (awards to be given at a later date).  This mountain lodge only has four large dorm style rooms available with bunk-beds and separate toilets for men and women.

DAY 5: LLAIMA VOLCANO - PUCON
Today we’ll attempt to reach the summit of the Llaima volcano if weather conditions are favorable and with the assistance of snow-cars, we’ll reach as close as possible to the top, and then start a challenging hike to the crater (available only for expert skiers). In the afternoon, we’ll begin the off-piste descent back to the lodge. We'll spend the whole day skiing accompanied by our expert ski guide. We can ski out-of bounds, traversing the cornices and the steep cliffs of the area. At dusk we’ll drive to the town of Pucón, the principal adventure tourism destination in the Lakes & Volcanoes District of Chile. Dinner in a town’s restaurant and lodging at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 6: PUCON SKI CENTER

In these 3 days we'll enjoy the Pucón Ski Center, skiing on the active Villarrica Volcano. The center has 9 ski-lifts (5 draglifts and 3 double chairlifts), and 20 runs to choose from. The views from the slopes overlooking Lake Villarrica and the surrounding volcanoes are fabulous. At the base of the resort there is a lively cafeteria and a nice terrace to relax and enjoy your meal. At around five, we’ll head back to Pucón to eat dinner and stay overnight at the hotel of your choice.

Early in the morning (7 am) we will go again to Pucón Ski Center.  If the weather permits, today we’ll have the chance to hike up the Villarrica volcano (2.847 mts) to reach its active crater and then ski off-piste all the way down (only if you have an advanced level of skiing). We will always be accompanied by our specialized guides. The ascent lasts approximately 6 hours and only 30 minutes to ski down. Return to Pucón for dinner. Lodging at the hotel of your choice.

DAY 8: PUCON SKI CENTER – HUIFE HOT SPRINGS
Today we can choose if we go skiing again to Pucón Ski Center; try our second attempt to get to the crater if we couldn’t make it the day before; or do some other activities such as rafting on the Trancura River or a visit throughout Pucón and its surrounding areas. In the afternoon, we’ll go to Huife Hot Springs, a thermal center located by the Liucura River and surrounded by stunning native forests. We’ll have a farewell dinner at Huife’s restaurant and then head back to Pucón.
