Once we pick you up at the hotel, we’ll head south of Santiago city, by the side of the mountain range San Ramon, entering into the Andes Mountains, following the path of the Maipo River. At about 800 meters altitude we’ll enter the famous Cajon Del Maipo, an area recognized for outdoor adventures and rock formations that many mountain climbers and mountaineers admired.
After an hour and a half driving, we’ll arrive to the village of San Alfonso and enter an ecotourism center and nature sanctuary called Cascada de las Animas, where we’ll Hike 2 waterfalls, surrounded by Chilean flora and native fauna. The hike will last aprox 90 minutes and we’ll go with a local guide, plus our tour leader.

Once our Hike ends, we’ll head back west, taking the other side of the Maipo River, arriving to Toyo and Pirque towns. We’ll appreciate adobe houses and ancient irrigation canals that gave life to this area since the 19th century, allowing the birth of important vineyards and one of the oldest at the Central Valley, focusing on red varieties. We will stop at the restaurant La Vaquita Echa to enjoy local Chilean food accompanied folk music, crafts beers, our local wines and a souvenir shop.

Our last stop will be at Santa Rita or Concha y Toro winery, where we’ll do a tour plus taste some of their main varieties.
