We will drive north – west of Santiago one hour to the organic winery, Emiliana Vineyards. Ever since Viñedos Emiliana began in 1986; one of its primary concerns has been the care and management of the land. This is essential for complying with the basic Emiliana premise: “Quality begins in the vineyard”
Under the Organic concept, the vineyard is considered to be a living resource, with an own balance that must be preserved. Because of this, the ground nutrients are generated in the same field. The Emiliana Organic spirit is sustained in the caring and absolute dedication for the vineyard and the strong commitment for the environment, achieving like this the maximum Terroir expression, preserving all the grape’s peculiarities and obtaining a result of extraordinary quality. Additionally, we invite you to participate in the tasting of their internationally recognized and award winning premier red and white organic wines, including their famous Coyam.
Afterwards, we will continue our tour to House of Morandé Restaurant. In order to receive the lovers of wine and good eating, Viña Morandé open a gastronomic centre and its restaurant offers first class cuisine accompanied by their best wines. It is the perfect place to do a wine pairing. The building is a glass-and-wood indoor dining area, and pleasant patio dining overlooking a grassy expanse and grapevines .The well-balanced menu features lots of great food and we will try their wine varieties over lunch.
Once lunch ends we’ll head to Bodegas RE, a small family vineyard formed by Pablo Morande and his children. You’ll visit their vineyards, balsamic and artisanal fruit liquors production, barrel cellar and experience 3 wine tastings.
At last, we’ll head back to Santiago, stopping to eat a local empanada and dropping you off at your Hotel in Santiago.
